1947 – 1950	Study at the Los Angeles City College and at the University of California, Los Angeles
1950	At the age of 22 he begins to paint
1960	Moves to New York; Wesley takes part in group exhibitions of Pop-Art. Inspired by comic books, his American themes and his erotic paintings have a formative influence not only on Pop Art but also on a whole generation of young painters.
